The Challenge

When Thomas Forrester, well-known auctioneer and TV personality, booked in for a hair transplant at D’Souza Clinic, it was the perfect PR opportunity. A crew had been booked to film the process in London just before Christmas, giving Thomas time to recover before returning to work in the new year.

Thirty-six hours before filming was due to begin, the original crew pulled out. The clinic risked losing the chance to capture this high-profile, one-off moment. They needed a replacement who could mobilise instantly, work in a highly controlled medical environment, and deliver a polished, story-led film before the end of December.

The Plan

Eight Engines came recommended, and as soon as we got the call, we began our rapid pre-production process the day before the shoot. We worked with the clinic to confirm goals, compliance requirements, messaging, and the desired tone of the film.

We then travelled to London and prepared to work within the strict conditions of a sterile operating room. Our plan focused on capturing both the technical details of the surgery and the human side of Thomas’s story. This included managing intensive interviews before, during, and after the procedure without disrupting the surgical process.

The Results

The shoot ran smoothly from start to finish. The clinic received a carefully crafted, story-driven film that combined the science of the procedure with the personality of their patient.

From initial call to completed edit, the project was delivered before the end of December. The clinic was able to share the film while public interest was high, gaining a high-quality, high-profile piece of content that showcased its expertise and generated significant buzz around Thomas’s transformation.
