Wonder: Brand Film

Wonder: Brand Film

Key Points:

  • Client: Wonder – The leading celebrations products and services group.
  • Job Title: "World of Wonder" brand video production.
  • Job Type: Brand storytelling video.
  • Timeframe: Completed in a 2-month timeframe, including casting, pre-production, and post-production.
  • Collaboration: Created in partnership with branding agency Bert.
  • Key Features: Integrated live-action shoots, stock imagery, professional voiceover, and global storytelling elements.

The Challenge:

Wonder, a global leader in celebrations, needed a flagship brand video that showcased its international reach, innovative offerings, and unifying ethos. With operations spanning seven countries, it was critical to create a piece that resonated universally while maintaining a personal, human touch.

The project demanded a meticulous approach to casting, scriptwriting, and storyboarding, ensuring the narrative celebrated Wonder’s presence across diverse markets. Logistically, we had just two days to shoot live-action sequences, while stock imagery had to be seamlessly integrated to showcase the brand's global scope.

The Plan:

Eight Engines crafted a strategy to deliver a visually and emotionally compelling brand video, emphasising Wonder's broad global presence and the joy it brings to customers. Key steps included:

  1. Pre-Production:
    • Casting: Sourced diverse talent to authentically represent Wonder’s global audience.
    • Scriptwriting: Collaborated closely with Bert to ensure the script captured Wonder’s celebratory spirit and international presence.
    • Storyboarding: Developed detailed visuals to balance live-action shots with stock footage, ensuring a cohesive global narrative.
  2. Production:
    • Two-Day Shoot: Conducted efficient filming across two UK locations, capturing authentic moments of joy and celebration.
    • Stock Imagery: Curated high-quality stock footage to extend the brand’s visual narrative across continents, mirroringWonder’s international reach.
    • Voiceover: Worked with a professional voiceover artist to strike the right tone—one of warmth, inclusivity, and celebration.
  3. Post-Production:
    • Seamlessly integrated live-action and stock imagery for a polished, global feel.
    • Added bespoke motion graphics and music to create an uplifting and celebratory tone.
    • Conducted rigorous client reviews to ensure alignment with Wonder’s vision and brand values.
